The collection will also feature, from time to time, adults who are speaking on behalf of children.

2020 Brower Youth Awards: Q&A with the Winners

The 21st annual Brower Youth Awards was a two-part virtual event to celebrate the accomplishments of six youth leaders in the environmental movement. The second part, the Meet-the-Winners Q&A, was held virtually on October 20, 2020, and included interviews with the winners that delved into the passion and purpose driving their work and opportunities to hear answers to questions submitted by the audience. “Passion and Purpose,” the theme for this event, was chosen to reflect what all of our winners have in common — passion for environmental activism, and a purpose for making the world a better place. They are thought leaders with an intention, with an objective to be of service to our interconnected ecosystem. All of our winners are stars that shine. They help us navigate. They show us the way forward as they imagine new ways of environmental mobilization. They galvanize us to reach our highest selves. Please join us in celebrating our stars in this unique moment in time. The flagship event of the New Leaders Initiative, the Brower Youth Awards has recognized outstanding youth leaders making strides in the environmental movement since 2000.
