Join Jeff Corwin as he explores climate change impacts, from California's drought-stricken Sierra Nevada and the Caldor Fire's aftermath, where he meets firefighters, to Washington State. There, he highlights conservation efforts for the resourceful American beaver and the endangered Pygmy rabbit.

In Washington, Corwin joins the Tulalip Beaver Project, which humanely relocates beavers from conflict areas. Beavers are vital ecosystem engineers, building dams that increase water storage, filter pollutants, promote biodiversity, and create crucial salmon habitat. Nearly hunted to extinction, these resilient animals are now recovering, with the Tulalip Tribal Community leading successful wildlife management and research efforts.

Join us Monday, October 11, 2021, for National Coming Out Day. We will screen the Pixar short film *Out* and host a fascinating conversation with its director, Steven Clay Hunter, and producer, Max Sachar.

Steven Clay Hunter, a veteran Pixar animator, made his directorial debut with *Out*, which was Oscar-shortlisted and GLADD-nominated. Max Sachar, a San Francisco-based filmmaker and Pixar producer for 15 years, produced the acclaimed short, contributing creatively to its development.

Water Protectors at the main resistance camp in North Dakota vowed continued resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) as the camp was largely vacated following a Wednesday eviction order. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and North Dakota governor imposed a deadline, leading to around 10 arrests. Before the eviction, prayer ceremonies were held, and part of the camp was set on fire.

Protectors assert the camp sits on unceded Sioux territory under the 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie. While most left, a couple dozen people remain. This encampment, once hosting over 10,000, was the largest gathering of Native Americans in decades. Construction on the final pipeline section resumed after the Trump administration granted an easement to drill beneath the Missouri River.
