About This Collection

Our solutions reporting spotlights the ideas and initiatives of people building a better world. Our commentaries address dominant economic, political, and social structures and consider alternative ways of thinking that can produce a more equitable and Earth-friendly world.

Founded in 1996, Yes! Magazine is a non-profit, ad-free magazine that covers topics of social justice, environmental sustainability, alternative economics, and peace. Issues of Yes! explore a specific issue in depth, and provide resources so that readers may become involved in that issue. Previous issues have covered solutions to the energy crisis, local economies, and water preservation.

This special collection includes the videos referenced in our magazine as well as those of our partners that we feature on our YouTube channel.

How This Tribe Got Their Coastal California Lands Returned

The Kashia Band of Pomo Indians, a federally recognized tribe also known as the Kashaya Pomo, resides in Sonoma County, California. Their reservation, Stewarts Point Rancheria, is located in Stewarts Point.

The tribe's success in securing a private deed and management rights to their ancestral lands may be the first such achievement by a U.S. tribe. For more information, visit [Trust for Public Lands](https://www.tpl.org/our-work/kashia-coastal-reserve).
