Rev. Gregory Boyle, S.J., founder of Homeboy Industries, the world's largest gang intervention and re-entry program, presented his talk, "Lessons from the Field: Kinship as an Intervention."

He was joined by David Vasquez and Ruben Ruiz, two "homies" from his program. This event, held on February 6, 2017, was hosted by the Rev. Michael C. McFarland, S.J. Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture.

Dr. Daniel Wildcat presented a "Rights of Mother Earth" banner created by children from Haskell Indian Nations University's Day Care Center, emphasizing their significance as "OUR CHILDREN and Our FUTURE!"

Chief Ruben George and Ben West from the First Nations Women's Initiative (fwii.net) also contributed through a PowerPoint presentation and panel discussion.
