Dr. Olivia Carril is a native bee expert with over 25 years of experience. She earned degrees from Utah State University and Southern Illinois University, and co-authored three books, including *The Bees in Your Backyard*. Dr. Carril currently conducts large-scale bee surveys across the western U.S. and studies rare plants in New Mexico.
