An evolutionary journey which has now come to a crucial stage in history: can we save human cultural and emotional identity while revolutionising the way we eat? Future food systems can save the planet, but how to make them Human appears to be a challenge that ultimately can make the difference between erasing our memory as a species… and erasing the species all together. Cultural neuroscience will have a growing influence on this dilemma, ultimately offering an unprecedented deep dive in our relationship with Nature through Food. Golnoosh Mahdavi is Director of Innovation, she applies her prior experience as a behavioral neuroscience researcher and professional cook to guiding the team’s overarching research directions on the physiological intersections of food, emotions, and culture. A rather interesting hybrid creature, part philosophy graduate and part entrepreneur, Mario Ubiali has successfully created and run small innovative global companies since 2002. Today he is the happy CEO of Thimus, where he is heavily involved in mentoring a very talented pool of people, spearheading new visions and enjoying the thrill of a trip towards the unknown. To strengthen the technical and institutional capacities of stakeholders in driving digital transformation in the urban domain, the “Toolkit on Digital Transformation for People-Oriented Cities and Communities” was developed by ITU and 12 other partners. This Toolkit draws a connection between the technological and interoperable solutions for urban operations while supporting the enhancement of the ability of authorities to envision and adopt cutting-edge technologies to make society more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. 

This Toolkit includes insights on international standards and provides guidance, and use-cases on the application of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), along with the latest reports on the ever-evolving topic of digital transformation. The Toolkit can universally benefit cities and communities, as well as regions and countries regardless of their level of smart or digital development, or their geographical or economic status. This AI for Good Webinar will be a unique opportunity to understand the benefits of leveraging this Toolkit across the smart city ecosystem while keeping digital transformation as the fulcrum.
