For millennia, the Chumash people have been a maritime culture, renowned for their plank canoes, *tomols*, used to navigate the Channel Islands. European colonization nearly erased the craft of tomol building, but today, Alan Salazar and his Chumash and Fernandeño Tataviam communities are dedicated to reviving this vital knowledge for future generations.

Donny Rico's series, including Episode 4 "T'anks Judge," highlights Chevron's attempts to evade accountability for massive Amazon pollution. Facing a major loss in Ecuador, Chevron sought favorable courts, finding U.S. Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan. Kaplan initiated a RICO case, assigned it to his courtroom, and ruled for Chevron, despite his decision being legally and factually flawed, lacking jurisdiction, and demonstrating clear bias.

Kaplan's ruling defied appellate courts, refused a jury, and denied crucial evidence to Ecuadorian villagers. This "mockery of justice" is under appeal and widely expected to be overturned. Today, she chairs The Elders, an independent group founded by Nelson Mandela, dedicated to peace and human rights.

Directed by Aoife Kelleher and produced by Loosehorse, “MRS ROBINSON” was funded by Fís Éireann /Screen Ireland and the Utah Film Center. Pat Mitchell is among the executive producers.
