Hakan Karaosman is a social scientist specializing in environmental and social justice across fashion supply chains. He argues that climate change and social inequality are "too far gone," requiring an entirely new paradigm to ensure universal justice.

Dr. Karaosman serves as Chief Scientist at FReSCH (Fashion's Responsible Supply Chain Hub), an action research project funded by the European Commission and hosted by University College Dublin. European business networks are actively pursuing climate ambition, recognizing the economic, social, and environmental benefits of transitioning to a climate-neutral, sustainable Europe. A recent event convened these networks with policymakers to discuss how businesses can advance Europe’s climate neutrality and the "Fit for 55" package, especially amidst the energy challenges from the Ukraine war and RePowerEU.

Speakers presented business-led solutions to scale renewable energy, boost efficiency, accelerate industrial decarbonization, and stimulate green investments. Discussions focused on policies empowering businesses to address the climate and energy crisis while enhancing the EU’s sustainable competitiveness. Chaired by Ursula Woodburn of CLG Europe, the event featured key policymakers and business leaders.

Dr. Norris worked at the CDC as a health scientist, evaluator and epidemiologist. She has extensive experience in the areas of eliminating health disparities for vulnerable populations in the United States. She has served as adjunct faculty member at the University of South Carolina, Agnes Scott College, Spelman College, Baylor University and Morehouse School of Medicine. It is a global organisation working to solve the sustainability challenges through entrepreneurship and innovation by gathering the smartest young minds from all over the world to create impact startups from scratch. Prior to YSI, Danat was part of building the organisation Future Leaders Global, which has become the biggest and fastest growing leadership program for youth in the Nordics.
