Elon Musk is one of the most influential and controversial tech icons in Silicon Valley. He has talked about forward-thinking projects like mind-uploading and space travel, but by far his most bold and effective vision led to Tesla and the creation of a widely available and affordable electric vehicle. Before Tesla was founded in the early 2000s, electric cars were considered novelties. But as many cars were gas guzzlers, there was a great need for a more sustainable mode of transportation. Thousands of lessons has to be taken seriously out of this because the future global crisis will be the climate and biodiversity wall...a wall no magic vaccine can break apart! Romain Troublé, as an Executive Director of the Tara Ocean Foundation, has organised from 2003 to 2006 polar missions, such as adventure and scientific expeditions at the North Pole, South Pole and Siberia, including the discovery of frozen mammoths in the permafrost. Since 2004 he has managed the Tara schooner expeditions with the founders and became the Executive director of the Tara Ocean Foundation in 2009. The Biden administration announced plans to waive 26 of the United States’ most important environmental laws to rush new border wall construction in Texas, damaging fragile habitat near a national wildlife refuge — right where the Center was battling Trump’s wall. More border wall cuts off more cougars, bobcats and other wildlife from the Rio Grande, their main water source. And it could mean the bulldozing of endangered plants like prostrate milkweed — crucial for migratory monarch butterflies — with no legal recourse to protect them.
