Earth Guardians' Indigenous Youth Initiative trains young Indigenous leaders from across Turtle Island. This Native-led, nature-immersed program focuses on Traditional Ecological Knowledge, movement-building media, and climate justice organizing. Participants develop campaigns to defend their communities' lands, waters, and people, fostering relationships for the movement's future.

Established seven years ago by young water protectors after the NoDAPL movement, the initiative maintains a radical, grassroots approach. This year features two sessions (June & October) for Indigenous youth (18-30) in the Mid-Atlantic region (MD, VA, DC, DE, PA, WV). On March 15, 2019, 1.5 million people globally participated in the School Strike for Climate. In this talk, 12-year-old climate activist and songwriter Lucy Gray makes a compelling argument for climate justice as humanity's path forward. She discovered her passion in 2017, subsequently forming a climate action group at her school.

When international strikes reached New Zealand, Lucy led the Christchurch strike and founded its local SS4C group. She now co-convenes the national School Strike for Climate NZ team, a student-led initiative urging urgent government action. Palestinian youth, especially young women, face alarmingly high unemployment and poverty. Limited job opportunities and a mismatch between education and labor market needs hinder access to decent work, impacting purchasing power and food security.

The FAO, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and funded by Denmark, is tackling this by promoting sustainable "green" jobs in the agrifood sector. The project strengthens youth skills, supports green enterprises, and engages various partners to empower young women and men in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. This fosters decent employment, builds resilience, and contributes to a sustainable agrifood system.

FAO digital badges boosted Lizet's professional credibility, fostering new collaborations and knowledge sharing. She advocates for these free, multilingual courses, encouraging students and professionals to explore them for collective learning and resilient landscapes.
