David Detzler, a degreed chemist and 45-year automotive veteran, offers an insider's view on climate change. He argues that carbon offsets are ineffective and that the only real solution is to end

David Detzler, a degreed chemist and 45-year automotive veteran, offers an insider's view on climate change. He argues that carbon offsets are ineffective and that the only real solution is to end our addiction to fossil fuels. A National Merit Scholar, Detzler conducted research alongside doctoral students at age 20, identifying the dangers of 2-4-dichlorophenoxyacetic, later known as Agent Orange.

At Chrysler Automotive, Detzler served as a materials engineer and senior manager. He pioneered advancements in coatings, notably introducing environmentally safe powder coating to the American automotive market.
