CISL's Executive Director, Dr. Jake Reynolds, and Fellows Dr. Gabriel Okello and Dr. Dina Khalifa participate in the Prince of Wales's Global Sustainability Fellowship Programme. Their transdisciplinary research explores critical sustainability challenges.

The Programme fosters new transdisciplinary thinking, delivering practical insights, tools, and recommendations for decision-makers, alongside fundamental knowledge advancements. From 2022, it will be based at CISL’s new low-carbon, retrofitted building in Cambridge, creating a vibrant hub for collaborative research.

Unsustainable, extractive farming practices have led to environmental and public health crises, depleting nature and driving climate change and biodiversity loss. With agriculture using half our land, farmers are crucial stewards. We must shift from extractive systems to regenerative, sustainable, and circular approaches.

In this talk, The Prince of Wales supports an international framework for measuring farm sustainability. A long-time advocate for sustainability, he has championed British farming and a more sustainable food future, raising awareness for critical issues.
