Conservationist Luwi Nguluka challenges audiences with lesser-known facts about African wildlife and conservation. Her passion for inclusivity and diversity in the field stems from a childhood in the African Wilderness, including the Okavango Delta. Representing Zambia's next generation of conservationists, she leads innovative awareness campaigns.

These initiatives include "Women For Conservation," Zambia's first network for women in the field, and the "This is not Game" bushmeat campaign, which combats illegal trade devastating carnivore and prey species. The workshop included presentations from the Climate Action Reserve and the American Carbon Registry on carbon offset standards and forest project requirements. Great River Energy discussed carbon policy from an energy provider's perspective, while the Aitkin County Land Department updated attendees on a Northwoods carbon offset project. Medical Physicist and Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco shares her journey as a climate action advocate, inspiring global citizens to contribute to environmental care. Her advocacy began with energy conservation after winning Miss Earth Philippines in 2017.

As Miss Earth 2017, Ibasco expanded her work, participating in international climate conferences, delivering environmental talks, and educating students worldwide. She has joined organizations like CORAL, Plastic Solutions, and WWF Philippines, and serves as the youth ambassador for the Climate Change Commission. Last September, she represented the Philippines as its first youth ambassador at the UN Youth Climate Summit in New York.
