The First Peoples of Turtle Island foretold the Eagle and Condor prophecy, predicting a time when people from the world's four directions would unite. The Eagle represents the northern hemisphere, and the Condor the southern.

This prophecy will be fulfilled in June at the Onjisay Aki International Climate Summit. Indigenous peoples will gather at the center of Turtle Island to unite the human family.

Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) documented the University of California, San Diego's (UCSD) microgrid, a leading example of a locally controlled electricity network interconnected with the larger grid. This system manages 42 megawatts of generating capacity, comprising a central cogeneration plant, solar photovoltaic installations, and a fuel cell utilizing natural gas reclaimed from a landfill.

The Nibi Water Gathering, held June 4-5, 2015, at Turtle Lodge in Sagkeeng First Nation, Manitoba, on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, brought together nations to serve a common purpose: water. During this gathering, the Original People of Turtle Island (North America) formally established their leadership. The event also honored spiritually guided Earth stewardship leaders and youth completing rites of passage, inviting people of all cultures to participate and make offerings to the Water.

"Corazón Salado" by Patagonia Films follows activist Ramón Navarro as he joins the Kawésqar, an Indigenous community in Chilean Patagonia, to protect their ancestral waters. The encroaching salmon industry pollutes and destroys the delicate ecosystem, forcing the Kawésqar to struggle for food.

Navarro connects with Leticia Caro and her father, Don Reinaldo, a traditional fisherman, to expose the salmon farms' damaging effects. Together, united by their love for the sea, they advocate for establishing a marine protected area within Kawésqar National Park.
