Losang monlam was ordained a Buddhist monk by HH Dalai Lama. For over 10 years he engaged in the Tibetan monastic tradition, residing both in the west and east. ; He has studied and practiced with many masters in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for 20 years. He now lives in the bay area teaching, painting and writing.
