How the circular economy can help to tackle biodiversity loss

More than 90% of biodiversity loss is due to the extraction and processing of natural resources. Can a shift to the circular economy help to reverse biodiversity loss altogether? In this episode of the Circular Economy Show: We’ll go one-on-one with the lead author of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s latest paper on the topic of the circular economy and biodiversity. We’ll explore some real world examples of some of the biodiversity benefits that circular design can deliver from agriculture to the built environment. The Nature Conservancy’s Robert Jones will discuss the potential role of Aquaculture - effectively regenerative agriculture for the oceans - can play in rebuilding the health of our oceans. ------ Thank you for watching this video.
