We need a new generation of "Zero Carbon Engineers" who can blend creativity, systems thinking, and behavioral science to develop solutions that balance societal and natural needs. This talk explores their importance and essential skills.

David Rooney, Professor of Chemical Engineering at Queen's University Belfast, directs the Sustainable Energy Research Group and Bryden Centre. His research focuses on sustainable energy and materials, and he advises industry and government on Zero Carbon technologies. He also holds the position of Dean of Internationalisation and Reputation for the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, with extensive international experience.
