Join us for a program with Oglala Lakota leader Jim Warne, co-presented by the Climate Reality Project Bay Area Chapter. Warne, an award-winning filmmaker, discusses Native American history and building relationships for climate progress.

Warne notes many Americans lack accurate Native American history knowledge, often receiving a narrow perspective despite over 550 tribes and 200 languages. He emphasizes historical inaccuracies contribute to an "ignorance by design," hindering understanding.

Raz Mason, a chaplain and founder of Mason Consulting, specializes in personal resilience and its connection to sustainability. She developed Warrior Wheel Training to support individuals in high-stress environments, including military and public safety personnel.

Her extensive background, encompassing chaplain residency at the Portland VA Medical Center, military officer training, and work in domestic violence agencies, reflects her commitment to those in demanding occupations. Mason holds an MDiv from Harvard Divinity School, an MA from Seattle University, and a BA from Bryn Mawr College. Sarah Houston, a "water warrior" with over ten years in holistic water management, believes understanding our water sources connects individuals to their community and environment. She emphasizes knowing the basic facts and issues impacting our drinking water.

In 2016, Houston and her husband launched Wander Like Water, a bicycle touring project that connected YouTube viewers in over 50 countries to various water sources, garnering over half a million views.
