It leverages advanced geospatial modeling and robust partnerships to raise incomes, improve nutrition, and strengthen climate resilience for vulnerable populations.

The HIH Investment Forum 2025, a key partnership-building effort, provides a platform for member governments to present national agriculture and food value chain investment opportunities to investors, multilateral development banks, the private sector, and donors.

In Caleta Los Hornos, Chile, authorities and educators launched "Aprender para proteger," a pedagogical resource. This material strengthens the National Environmental Certification System (SNCAE) by transforming educational gaps into concrete actions for marine conservation.

Over 150 students, 12 schools, and regional authorities participated. The marine-coastal environmental education guide resulted from interinstitutional coordination and collaboration with the GEF Marine Coastal Governance project, implemented by FAO and executed by Chile's Ministry of Environment, Subsecretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture, and National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service.

Organized by the SIRGE Coalition, this virtual roundtable will explore Indigenous self-determination. Leaders will discuss its historical journey, current challenges, and its link to collective rights, including Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC). They will also address practical steps for policymakers, states, and corporations to align with diverse global expressions of self-determination.

Additional topics include advancing self-determined priorities, overcoming challenges for self-determination's inclusion in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and navigating autonomy within this framework.

Panelists are Carlos Mamani, Les Malezer, Dalee Sambo Dorough, and Elsa Stamatopoulou. Galina Angarova will moderate.
