Dr. David Zaber, an environmental consultant specializing in sustainable natural resources and agricultural management, holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. His talk explores how human behavioral ecology reveals resource use conflicts. He emphasizes that evolved human perception often causes people to overlook relevant environmental problems, hindering consensus and solutions.

Zaber argues that bridging this "Perception Gap" is crucial for effective environmental activism and protection. With an M.S. from the University of Illinois and extensive experience at organizations like Defenders of Wildlife, he currently works to protect Great Lakes forests and wildlife.
