Côme Girschig, a French Youth Delegate for Climate, will discuss climate change solutions at international, local, and personal levels.

Since early 2018, Côme has represented youth within the French Delegation to the UN Climate Change Convention. He co-founded JAC, a nonprofit dedicated to spreading climate information, and uses his YouTube channel to address climate issues, including debating figures like French Minister of Ecology François de Rugy.

As global crises converge, join a group of wise women to discuss a potent, three-pronged strategic path for creating a better world. This strategy involves honoring, respecting, and learning from nature; being motivated by a deep quest for justice; and cultivating the leadership of women.

Speakers include Osprey Orielle Lake, founder/Executive Director of Women's Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) International; Amisha Ghadiali, a UK-based intuitive therapist, meditation and yoga teacher; and Naelyn Pike, a renowned young Chiricahua Apache activist. ITU and partners annually encourage girls to pursue ICT careers, aiming to bridge the gender digital divide. Girls in ICT Day promotes studies and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), helping young women achieve their dreams and fostering digital gender equality.

This year’s theme is ‘Digital Skills for Life’. The global Girls in ICT event will be celebrated on April 27 in Zimbabwe, as part of the Transform Africa Summit 2023 (#TAS2023). Coordinated with POTRAZ and Smart Africa, the celebration will address digital skills topics like role models, education, mentorship, and youth participation.

Yurok leader Sammy Gensaw III shares his experiences in ecological and cultural revival along the Klamath River. He discusses how ancestral wisdom, modern science, and activism were crucial for dam removal, highlighting Indigenous leadership’s role in rekindling connections to land and water for a resilient future.

Gensaw, a leader in environmental and cultural preservation, directs the Ancestral Guard, a nonprofit teaching traditional fishing and farming to Indigenous youth. His work, rooted in food sovereignty and community resilience, began with the Klamath Justice Coalition’s historic dam removal project. He is also featured in the documentary "Gather."
