Dr. Olivia Carril is a native bee expert with over 25 years of experience. She earned degrees from Utah State University and Southern Illinois University, and co-authored three books, including *The Bees in Your Backyard*. Dr. Carril currently conducts large-scale bee surveys across the western U.S. and studies rare plants in New Mexico.

Join the Natural History Institute in welcoming Dr. Earyn McGee, a herpetologist and passionate science communicator. Her PhD research focused on how climate change and human water use impact lizard diets in the Southwest, particularly as streams dry due to drought.

Dr. McGee is also dedicated to addressing barriers for Black women in natural resources careers. She co-founded a program with Delta Sigma Theta to introduce middle school girls to these fields. Originally from Mar del Plata, Argentina, Natalia was selected by the US Embassy in Argentina to be an Argentinean Youth Ambassador for the "Our Oceans, Young Ambassadors" program, organized by the US Department of State.
